Many thanks to your staff for doing a great repair job at our house Everything was neat and tidy when they left. Synsport proved to me that they are No 1 when it comes to synthetic lawn. My first email was sent on the 7th Sept and the job was done on the 11th – this I call SERVICE.
Big thank you for the job done on the cricket nets. Just hope the coaches appreciate the new environment they are practising in.

We are extremely pleased with the approach, commitment, communication, and follow through from the Synsport team. We particularly appreciated their personal involvement in all facets and stages of the
installation of our Astroturf field. They responded to all queries, allayed any concerns and reacted quickly to temporary complications that arose.Synsport also supplied and installed our new cricket nets. I would happily recommend Synsport.

They installed the astro at Stellenbosch High school quickly, effectively, effortlessly and without a glitch. It is not only their name which is connected to their brand that stood out for our school but also the aftermarket service they provide: maintenance, repairs and a good warranty. Looking back on their completed project we can say that we are so happy that we picked Synsport from everyone who tendered. They provide a quality product, with professional people with adequate skills to handle installations.I would recommend Synsport to anyone, anytime!
Tony Godding
Coach and Senior Hockey Consultant at Selborne College
I am a hockey coach and Senior Hockey Consultant at Selborne College in East London. I had previously coached at national level and have experience of hockey venues in many parts of the world. Among my duties at Selborne is to oversee the administration and maintenance of our school hockey facility.
I first met Bob Merryweather and dealt with his company, Synthetic Sports Surfaces (Synsport), in 1999 when we were researching the choice of a synthetic carpet for our new facility. After a thorough survey of what was available in the market, we awarded the contract to Synsport and we have not for one moment regretted that decision. Both the quality of the product and the level of professional attention and aftercare proved to be top-class.
When the time came in 2011 to renew the surface and to upgrade the facility in general, we had no hesitation in turning to Synsport again. Bob guided us through our redevelopment project which has resulted in our having a venue with an outstanding playing surface and world-class floodlighting.
I worked with Bob again in 2014/15 when I acted as project manager for the installation of an artificial surface by the Clarendon Girls Schools. Once again, Synsport came up trumps and provided the schools with a superb facility.
I have no hesitation in saying that both the Selborne and Clarendon facilities rank with the best in South Africa and have been highly praised, not only by the user schools, but by visiting teams from all parts of the country.
In all my interaction with Synsport, I have been highly impressed by not only the quality of their products and workmanship, but by the devotion to client satisfaction that Bob and his capable staff have always shown. There is no doubt in my mind that the professionalism, technical knowledge and empathy with clients provided by Bob and his colleagues put them in a class of their own in their field in South Africa.
Both Selborne and Clarendon have benefited beyond measure from their association with Bob Merryweather and Synsport. I would recommend them to others without any hesitation.

(Principal) from Sun valley Primary School
Synsport worked with us from the design phase. Their service and customer relationship strategy are exceptional. We received a weekly voicemail from the Project Manager and Dylan was a call away and responded quickly. We pressurised them to complete the project in a ridiculously short time so that we could have access to the Astro for winter sport. They achieved the task. I would strongly recommend them and will certainly use them again.
Gary Skeeles
(Principal) from Rhenish Primary School
Synsport did an incredible job installing a multi-sport surface onto tennis court. They were very helpful during the exploratory phase and then the installation was quick, neat, and had no impact on school life. Their pricing was competitive, and the end product is outstanding.
George
York High School
York High School, George has been associated with Synthetic Sports Surfaces since 2005.
It was in that year that York bought 2, second hand Fields/Carpets from the Randburg Astro-Facility in Johannesburg and transported them down to George.
Four unused Tennis Courts were then converted into a Mini-Astro (72m x 36m) with proper sited circles (D’s) to enable us to practise short corners, set-pieces etc. Two years later in 2007 sufficient funds had been raised to start construction on our full size field, which was then officially opened in May 2008 amidst much “Fanfare and Celebration” by all in the Community.
The old carpet was played on until the end of 2014, when we were then able to purchase a brand new State of the Art Turf, which will last us for many years.
All the above work has been undertaken by Synthetic Sport Surfaces, for whom no problem has ever been too big to undertake.
Their sheer Professionalism and willingness to assist has always been of the utmost highest standards, and it has been an absolute pleasure in dealing with them.
To Bob, Dylan and Michael and all your staff, congratulations on your 20th Anniversary, and I have no doubt, you will remain the top Synthetic Sports Supplier for the next 20 years.
Thank you for the most dramatic and exciting changes to our school. It is all I dreamed of and more. I look forward to many years of great play. You have the most amazing team who are really expert at what they do and were a pleasure to have. Please thank them.
Thank you for a job well done. I am very glad to see the perfection in the work you do.
Finally a company that always fulfils its promises. Wonderful product and the best customer service!!
We are thrilled with the job you did and in particular with the attitude of pride in the job that your men exhibited. Pride in a good job is rare today and something that I respect deeply. Thank you all for a job well done.
Western Cape Educational Department
In February 2015 Synsport was appointed to supply & install an Athletics Track and Astro Hockey Field for the Western Cape Education Department. Bernardino Heights Secondary school would be the beneficiary of the new facilities in a drive by WCED to raise the bar in facilities and infrastructure at Cape Town Schools.
The new facility would be used by neighbouring schools to ensure a wide catchment area of future sports stars. Synsport was quick to finalize the design stage and before we knew it the machines were on site and the ground was being striped. It was a great pleasure to see our Civils Team push the project and the professional team and client could finally see there planning and hard work come to life. Community projects are special for all those involved and all the hard work is paid off when we see the kids using the facilities and the excitement it brings to them and the community.
We are very proud of the quality and finish achieved by all companies and feel the WCED has a top end facility that they can be proud of. A big thanks goes out to WCED, RLA Architects, Grineker Lta, Integrate Engineers, Cape Contours and the Synsport crew.
